Our story

Welcome to the Pony Pals Family. We are so glad you found us!! We are a family oriented, recreational lesson program with an emphasis on safety, inclusivity, learning, and most importantly…FUN!! Pony Pals was founded by our head trainer, Katherine in 2021 when she realized there was a need in the community to offer a kind and supportive learning environment for people of all ages and abilities.

Meet Katherine

Katherine is an avid horse enthusiast of many years, with a deep respect and appreciation for dressage. She began her riding career at the tender age of four, when she first watched a lesson that Kathy Conolly taught. She was immediately hooked.

Katherine participated in the local pony club organization for several years, and later went on to become a full-time riding instructor and trainer at multiple farms across the country. Katherine has ridden the jumpers, done some eventing, as well as dabbling in western reiners and western pleasure, before turning her focus to competitive dressage.

She has worked with many well-known Dressage trainers, such as Karl Mikolka, Arthur Kottas, and Lars Petersen as well as many more.

Katherine has many years experience working with students ranging in age from 5-75, helping them with their riding careers including dressage, western pleasure and some jumping. Her positive enthusiasm inspires confidence in even the most timid of riders. Her passion for teaching shines through in every lesson.
